We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Wakefield Girls’ High School has been awarded the prestigious Centre of Excellence status by the Leadership Skills Foundation.

This special recognition marks a significant milestone that celebrates the hard work we have done to embed essential leadership skills directly into our curriculum. This award highlights our commitment to developing confident, capable, and compassionate future leaders among our pupils.

Gaining this status is incredibly competitive. Only 37 centres were selected for this academic year, recognising just the top 1-2% of applicants nationwide! This places WGHS amongst a select group of schools dedicated to outstanding leadership development.
