Whilst the majority of boys join QEGS at 11+ (Year 7) or at 16+ (Sixth Form), each year boys are welcomed into Years 8 and 9.
If you are interested in your son joining QEGS, please get in touch with our Admissions Secretary, either by telephone or email, who will be happy to advise you on the entry procedure.
Prospective parents and pupils are encouraged to come and visit QEGS, either on a personal visit, at our annual Open Morning or our Sixth Form Open Evening. Visiting the school will allow you to meet the staff and pupils, take a tour of the QEGS facilities and gather information about the life of the school.
An application form needs to be completed and returned to the Admissions Secretary, along with the small application fee, in order to register your son for entry into QEGS. Please note, the completion of an application form is no guarantee that your son will be offered a place at QEGS. Entry to the school is subject to your son meeting the necessary entrance requirements.
Following testing, if a boy would like to experience QEGS life, he is welcome to spend a day in school by prior arrangement with the Admissions Secretary.
If entering into Years 7 - 9, we recommend a boy joins QEGS at the first available opportunity throughout the academic year. Mid-term entry is welcome. Boys entering Sixth Form must start QEGS at the beginning of Year 12.
