Our schools hold a very special place in the hearts of many alumni and former staff. The remarkable start in life that we give to so many pupils provides the launchpad for future success. Giving to QEGS or Wakefield Girls’ High School in memory of a friend, relative or former staff member ensures they will leave a lasting legacy which will help future generations of pupils to be who they want to be.
Gifts in memory of a teacher, friend or relative.
It could be a gift in memory of a special teacher who opened pupils’ eyes to what they can achieve. Or a gift on behalf a friend or relative who looked back on his or her time here with deep affection. If you would like to make a donation in memory of a loved one, many funeral directors will arrange a collection for you and forward donations directly to QEGS or Wakefield Girls’ High School. Alternatively, you may wish to ask friends or relatives to make a donation directly to us. Either way, we will be incredibly grateful.
Your special occasion could create a special future for our pupils.
Some supporters ask for gifts to be made to Queen Elizabeth Grammar School or Wakefield Girls’ High School, in lieu of receiving personal gifts for a birthday, wedding, or anniversary. Many find it’s a wonderful way to celebrate individuality, support our schools and introduce the Foundation to friends and family.
Any support is greatly appreciated and always acknowledged.
When a gift is received, we send a thank you letter. We also ask if you would be kind enough to make your gift more tax effective through the Gift Aid scheme. If you require any further information or advice, our Development Director would be delighted to hear from you.
