Wakefield Grammar School Foundation is proud to announce an exciting step forward towards the future for education in Wakefield.

From September 2026, Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Wakefield Girls’ High School, and Wakefield Grammar Pre-Preparatory School will come together to form Queen Elizabeth’s School, Wakefield; a single, co-educational Diamond Model school for pupils aged 3 to 18.

This forward-thinking model combines the best of co-educational learning environments during the early and later stages of school life, and single-sex academic teaching between the ages of 11 and 16. This approach delivers a balanced, inclusive, and academically rigorous environment that nurtures every child’s potential.
