The Development Office coordinates mutually beneficial relationships with alumni, parents and other friends of Wakefield Grammar School Foundation.  Wakefield Grammar School Foundation is a registered charity (no. 1088415) that operates Wakefield Girls’ High School and QEGS, Wakefield.

Our alumni and parents have a vested interest in helping to maintain both QEGS and WGHS as two of the UK’s top independent schools, and they are keen to keep abreast of current developments as well as with each other.  Many will give back to school life in some way, whether by helping with our careers programme, being part of a thriving community through either the Old Savilians Club or In Touch (the Old Girls Association), as a parent or former parent through one of the many parent associations, or by making a philanthropic gift.

Gifts to WGSF help in numerous ways by providing additional learning resources and enhanced academic and social facilities, providing scholarships to ensure that we continue to attract the most talented pupils from all backgrounds, and financing bursaries to help those experiencing financial difficulties.

Dedicated pages for our alumni are held at www.qegsonline.org.uk and www.wghsintouch.org.uk
