The meeting took place in Pre-Prep over delicious hot chocolates, mince pies and biscuits.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Chaired by Head, Emma Gill, the meeting involved students discussing the leadership roles at both Junior schools, focussing on what their roles consist of, what they like most and brainstorming how the leadership role could potentially evolve. \u2018Being responsible\u2019, \u2018doing speeches\u2019, \u2018doing kind things for others\u2019, \u2018going to meetings\u2019 and \u2018getting to help with jobs\u2019 were amongst the highlights for our current young leaders.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wgsf.org.uk\/wgpps\/leadership-voice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Leadership<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is an important part of life at Wakefield Grammar Pre-Preparatory School. We want our children to feel confident to use their voice and advocate for changes they want to see in the world - and this is something we facilitate. Our Year 2 Prefect team have played a big role in requesting various school events, for example Charity fundraisers and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/wgsf.org.uk\/wgpps\/2023\/05\/26\/little-leaders-arrange-house-carnival\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">House Carnival <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">days - which they helped to organise.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It was brilliant to hear that our students enjoy having responsibilities and working with other students and staff to help ensure our school community runs smoothly and thrives.
