The children wore European flag colours and learnt about different countries\u2019 languages, cultures and traditional food.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nIn the EYFS, the children enjoyed singing and dancing to music from around the continent and learning how to say 'hello' in different languages.\r\n\r\nThe Year 1 children loved learning about their chosen countries of Spain, Italy, Netherlands and France. They made fans, Eiffel Towers, tulips and a pop-up Colosseum!\r\n\r\nYear 2 children worked in teams to match each European country with its capital city and national flag. This was not an easy task, but the our little problem-solvers rose to the challenge, showing resilience and determination to succeed!\r\n\r\nThe purpose of the European Day of Languages is to raise awareness of the importance of learning languages and celebrate Europe's cultural diversity.
