This invaluable opportunity to perform for a large audience is an essential part of their A-Level course, allowing students to develop confidence and refine their live performance skills. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/wgsf.org.uk\/wghs\/2024\/12\/11\/holiday-cheer-takes-centre-stage-at-a-level-lunchtime-concert\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can read more about this here.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/a>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Later, the Cathedral was filled with joy as the entire school gathered for our <\/span>Carol Service<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. With a warm welcome from <\/span>The Reverend Canon Dr. Kathryn Goldsmith<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the service featured heartfelt performances, prayers, readings, poetry, and carols, including:<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\ud83c\udfa4 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Walking in the Air<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (Year 8 soloist, Elizabeth)<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\ud83c\udfa4 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (Year 11 soloist, Amelia)<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\ud83c\udfa4 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">O\u2019Holy Night<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (Year 13 soloist, Isobel)<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\ud83c\udfb5 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Joy to the World<\/span><\/i>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\ud83c\udfb5 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The First Nowell<\/span><\/i>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\ud83c\udfb5 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rockin\u2019 Robin<\/span><\/i>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our choirs, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">created a magical atmosphere. The service was live-streamed, and we thank all who joined us virtually.
