With so many career choices and options available, we are on hand to support our students, helping each to discover future passions and interests - so they find a career path right for them.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As part of our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/wgsf.org.uk\/wghs\/pathways-to-success\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pathways to Success programme<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, our career talks and workshops for Senior students increase in frequency as students grow older and reach Year 10+ to support their important decisions regarding GCSE and A-Level choices.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On Friday 2nd February, our lecture series offered Year 10 students a GEM Lecture with five inspirational alumnae of Wakefield Girls\u2019. All role models from varied careers, we are thankful to our alumnae for delivering an insightful careers seminar detailing their early career journeys and sharing advice and tips about developing in their chosen worlds of work.\u00a0 Their Q&amp;A session, provided students with the opportunity to ask as many questions as they wished to get a strong understanding of these interesting roles and industries as well as key skills needed.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A big thank you to our alumnae for joining us this morning and sharing their words of wisdom:<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Kathryn Houghton<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Former rural chartered surveyor; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">now a law student at BPP, Leeds.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Heidi Boot<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: Town planner at Pegasus Group.
