QEGS Junior boys joined us in St John's House and Wakefield Girls' were welcomed into QEGS Junior section.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students learnt together about the importance of the Coronation and what style of monarchy the new King will bring to the country, working collaboratively in their year groups.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One of the students\u2019 favourite activities of the morning was a whole school commemorative postage stamp competition, a chance to share ideas, express their creative design skills to produce the stamp however they wanted. Ideas included the King\u2019s portrait, a throne and even had a royal sheep!\u00a0 Other activities included a jigsaw style collage which will be put on display in St John's House next week.\u00a0 The students designed a replica of the crown to wear throughout the day, and some students participated in a monarchy-themed scavenger hunt in the playground!
