The Final Foundation Summer Music Concert is always a highly anticipated and special event, hosted at Queen Elizabeth Hall in QEGS over the duration of the two evenings.\u00a0 The groups performing include our Senior Orchestra, Junior Concert Band, Flute Ensemble, Intermediate Strings, Major Minors, Clarantella, Sax Ensemble, Glee, Senior Concert Band, Electric Ensemble, String Ensemble, Quintessential Brass Quintet, Barbershop, Funk Band, Cantabile, Swing Band, Brass Band, Double Reed Seniors, Double Reed Juniors, Percussion Ensemble, Year 7 SHINE Choir, Training Orchestra, Nonsensical, Folk Band, Senior Strings, Electric Ensemble 2, Foundation Chorus, Horns in Hats, Acoustic Guitar Ensemble, Mantabile and Swing Foundation.<\/span>\r\n\r\nWe encourage our students to have a passion for music from a young age, and we have many talented musicians in our Junior Section. We were delighted to have five of our Year 6 students performing in the Concert, featuring in the Training Orchestra conducted by Mr Meredith and the Double Reed group directed by Mrs Garside.\u00a0 They performed excellently and we look forward to seeing them perform more in the future, well done Azariah, Arushi, Rebecca, Tilly and Jess!\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Part 1 of the Foundation Music Concert was a wonderful evening, the atmosphere was invigorating and the audience appreciative -\u00a0 a testament to the passion of the musicians and their talent in performing.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Part 2, the incredible performances of the final evening culminated, as is tradition, with an especially poignant and moving close from our Year 13 Leavers who took to the stage for their final bow to end their musical careers at Wakefield Girls\u2019.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Congratulations to our outgoing Year 13 musicians: Adrianna, Antonia, Betty, Charlotte, Davina, Eden, Esther, Grace, Hooriya, Imogen, Jessica, Leah, Lily, Maisie, Manya, Toni and Yasmin.
