The video illustrates the wide range of languages spoken within our school, from Mandarin to Swedish!<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This video is then being used in student\u2019s language lessons this week. Students will watch the video and try to identify as many of the languages as possible (using the flags in the background as clues!) Year 3 students today were very confident identifying Spanish and Italian, but they were slightly more perplexed trying to guess the flags of Portugal and Lithuania. There were some impressive guesses though, ranging from Columbia, Chile, Turkey and Poland!<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another exciting aspect of language lessons this week is that students with a different Mother Tongue were then invited to the front of the class to teach their peers a few phrases in their language. In Mrs White\u2019s class today, the languages being taught were Mandarin, Italian and Telugu.
