welcoming and congratulating our new cohort of prefects to join the year 13s.\u00a0 \u00a0To become a prefect students make a written application to the Head outlining their suitability for the prefect role that most interests them. We were incredibly impressed with the qualities, skills and attributes of a huge quantity of applicants and the examples they gave for leadership skills, being a role model and their exciting ideas for the role.\r\n\r\nIn a special assembly, a welcome and congratulations was given to all our new incoming prefects.\u00a0 In their new positions of responsibility,\u00a0 prefects will be found all around school at breaktime and lunchtime helping everyone to do the right thing and helping to keep our school a happy and inclusive place.\u00a0 To recognise their seniority,\u00a0 new gowns have been introduced for each to wear while on duty.\r\n\r\nBeing a prefect is a pre-requisite to be eligible for consideration as a Senior Prefect, Head Girl or Deputy - roles many of your daughters may wish to apply for in the future.\u00a0 In these positions, students really do have fabulous opportunities to hone their communication and leadership skills ready to become the next generation of successful leaders beyond school.
