July.\r\n\r\nOur Art Department, Mrs Lister, Mr Hargreaves, Miss Dollive and Mrs Jackson accompanied students to Salts Mill Gallery for a wonderful opportunity to extend their classroom learning about their current David Hockney art project.\r\n\r\nThe highlight was being able to do some live sketching and direct drawing from the artwork of David Hockney that is displayed in the gallery space,\u00a0 most notably the 90ft \u2018A Year in Normandie\u2019 installation on the top floor of the Mill.\r\n\r\nHead of Art, Mrs Varley commented: This was a fantastic way to spend the day exploring the beautiful works by David Hockney beyond the walls of the classroom. We gathered so much inspiration from our visit and we are excited to create our own Summer inspired digital pieces later this term.
