Some characters have feisty personalities, whilst others have obstacles to overcome or incredible journeys to complete. The characters in these books all have something powerful and inspirational about them that we can enjoy reading about.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To gain a Matilda Award, students read and reflected on at least three books from their reading lists over a three month period. They then completed reflective tasks based on what they had read.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fifteen students took part this year, ranging from Year 6 to Year 13, with some students choosing to take on two, three or even all four of the reading lists! Hareem Ghouri, in Year 9,\u00a0 managed to complete the Bronze, Silver, Gold AND Platinum awards!
