Junior Pupils Shine in ‘Light Up a Life’ Concert, Raising money for Wakefield Hospice

9th December 2025

The Christmas spirit filled the air last night as our Junior Section pupils proudly hosted the annual ‘Light Up a Life’ Concert in support of Wakefield Hospice.

Jubilee hall sparkled with festive outfits and joyful faces as our Pupils took to the stage, delivering an outstanding performance that captivated the audience. Showcasing an array of festive songs and beautiful instrumental pieces, the atmosphere was truly magical.

Thanks to the hard work put into rehearsals and practice sessions, the pupils presented a truly remarkable show, demonstrating incredible talent and immense pride in their performances. Their voices shone brightly, creating a wonderful celebration of music and community spirit.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who kindly donated. Seeing the real difference we are making in our community is truly humbling. A special thank you also goes to our dedicated pupils, whose efforts made the event a spectacular celebration. It is always a pleasure to watch them perform and light up the room with their energy and enthusiasm.

Music plays a central role at Wakefield Girls’, and it has the unique ability to unite our school community. Through events like this, we are able to celebrate our pupils’ talent while sharing the joys of music with our wider Wakefield Girls’ community and supporting such a vital local charity.
