Year 8 had a great day visiting Yorkshire Sculpture Park and The Hepworth Gallery.   The sun shined on us as we looked at  the work of Bharti Kher,  Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth and Daniel Arsham at the sculpture park.  At the Hepworth we explored the permanent collection which includes the work of Barbara Hepworth and  also exhibitions from artists Ronald Moody, Igshaan Adams and Sylvia Snowdon.  The main focus of the trip was investigating the work of Barbara Hepworth, whose work we are studying in class as inspiration for a sculpture project.  The students particularly enjoyed sketching Hepworth’s  ‘The Family of Man’  at Yorkshire Sculpture park.
