Junior School Choirs Hit the High Notes!

Our Junior School Choirs finished the Festival Season on a high note at Wharfedale Music Festival, bringing home three spectacular trophies!

The Lower School Choir won their class with Distinction and were praised for the energetic and focused singing with precise diction and nice part singing.

The Under 11 Choir wowed the adjudicator, Sam Dunkley, with their programme, achieving an outstanding mark (this was the first time he’d awarded this mark to any choir this year!). In particular, he appreciated their performance of One World, writing “this is some of the most accomplished soft singing I’ve heard” – well done girls! U11 won their class and, on top of that, were awarded the Craiglands Cup (which was presented by the manager of the Craigland’s Hotel) for the most accomplished choir out of all the children’s choir classes – a superb achievement!

Time for a well deserved rest after a successful season of singing!
