Their courses and destinations include Medicine, Law, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Architecture, English Literature, Mathematics, Journalism, Geography, Engineering, History, Modern Languages, Economics, Physics, Rural Enterprise &amp; Land Management, Business Management, Classics,\u00a0 Psychology and Science at Cambridge, King\u2019s College London, Bristol, Newcastle, Birmingham, Liverpool, Nottingham, Loughborough, Edinburgh, Warwick, York and Exeter.\r\n\r\nWe also have students with career end goals such as Physiotherapy, early-childhood education, professional policing and nursing and students beginning apprenticeships in the Financial, Retail and Engineering sectors and with companies like A-Eon, Bevan Brittan (800 applicants and only 1 place!), Morrisons and Nestle, following rigorous and highly competitive selection processes.\r\n\r\nWhile we subscribe to the view that academic achievement is only one aspect of life in our Sixth Forms, we are incredibly proud of our students and the way their results consistently compete with the very best in Yorkshire.\u00a0 Our accomplished Year 13 pupils include:\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Head Girl Clara Elliott has been awarded A*A, A in her A Levels and a place to study at Norland, world famous <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for their exceptional early years degree training, Clara will build on the leadership, empathy and determination she has demonstrated at Wakefield Girls'.<\/span>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/wghs\/PMZ_6406-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deputy Head Girl Amina attained A, A, A in her A levels results and is taking a gap year to develop a wider experience base before moving onto study dentistry.<\/span>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/wghs\/PMZ_6196-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bayan earned 3 A*\u2019s and an A and will now study medicine at Leeds University.<\/span>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/wghs\/PMZ_6991-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anna celebrates success in her A Levels with grades A*, A, A\u00a0 and appointment to a highly competitive law apprenticeship at Bevan Brittan, after multiple rounds of selection.<\/span>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/wghs\/PMZ_6325-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emily, having attained A*, A* A, is eschewing the traditional university pathway, and is looking forward to applying her exceptional understanding of chemistry and nutrition to her food science apprenticeship at Nestle, York.<\/span>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/wghs\/PMZ_7116-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lucy\u2019s inquisitive nature and drive to understand the most challenging of concepts has enabled her to achieve A*, A, A in her A Levels and Lucy is now preparing study dentistry at Liverpool University<\/span><b><\/b>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/wghs\/PMZ_6647-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Holly Bestwick secured 2 x A*, 1 x A in her A Levels and is looking forward to exploring Economics and Finance at Newcastle university.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abigail Gatenby will be heading to study physiotherapy at Birmingham University after attaining 3 x A.<\/span><b><\/b>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esm<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00e9<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Randall proudly takes up her place to study Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Warwick after attaining 2 x A*, 1 x A.<\/span>\r\n\r\nHead Boy Will will be going to Liverpool to study Medicine, having attained A* in Chemistry and A grades in Maths and Biology.\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/qegs\/Untitled-design-65.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\nDeputy Head Boy and National Essay Competition winner Arthur will be going to Girton College, Cambridge University to study History having attained A*AAA in Geography, History, Politics and EPQ.\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/qegs\/9mVD3bN6-4.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\"Pleased the wait is over!\" <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">James will be going to study History at<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Peterhouse College, Cambridge University having attained 3 A* grades in Economics, History and Maths, complemented by an A grade in his EPQ.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/qegs\/vi7tbVdp-5.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\nCongratulations to Janik, who will be studying English &amp; German at Hertford College, University of Oxford having achieved 2 A* and 2 A grades, with an A* in EPQ.\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/qegs\/ypplYuWo-6.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Deputy Head Boy Tim also heads to Imperial College to study Design Engineering, taking with him 3 A*s in Design Technology, Maths and Physics along with an A* in his EPQ for which he was awarded full marks. Tim also found the time to gain an A in AS Further Maths - the highest grade possible.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/qegs\/7.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Following in the footsteps of his hero Brian Cox, Max will be studying Physics at Manchester \u2013 he is justifiably proud of his 2 A* grades and 2 A grades in Physics, Maths, Further Maths and French.<\/p>\r\nArchitecture is growing in popularity amongst our students and this year, Roman leaves us to take up his place to study in Manchester following top grades in Design Technology and his EPQ on the filming techniques used in the Star Wars franchise. He was also awarded grade As in Maths and Physics.<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/qegs\/9.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\nSri achieved A* in Maths (and in his EPQ) and As in Further Maths, Economics and Physics and will be taking up a place at Nottingham to study Economics.\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/qegs\/10.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ollie achieved AAB in Economics, Psychology and English Literature and will be reading Business Management at Liverpool University.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/qegs\/11.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\nRahul will be taking up a place at Leeds University Medical School, having secured A*s in Biology and in his EPQ and grade As in Chemistry and Maths.\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/queen-elizabeths\/qegs\/12.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nDr Richard Brookes, Head, said:\r\n\r\n<span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">\u201cWe are incredibly proud of our Year 13 students.
