Glenalmond responded with a powerful driving maul, crossing for the first try of the afternoon to edge ahead. QEGS continued to apply pressure and added a further penalty, taking the score to 6\u20137 in a tightly contested opening period.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"799\" data-end=\"1072\">With the teams evenly matched for much of the game, the contest remained finely balanced. However, Glenalmond\u2019s superior size and pace eventually began to tell, and they broke through the QEGS defence to score an unconverted try, before adding another to extend their lead.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"1074\" data-end=\"1230\">QEGS had the final say, showing great character and determination to finish strongly with a well-earned try of their own, bringing the final score to 17\u201311.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"1232\" data-end=\"1467\">Despite the result, the squad can be extremely proud of their effort, discipline and resilience against high-quality opposition.
