This year, 50% of all grades were awarded at levels 9 to 7 (the equivalent of A*\/A), reflecting both the ambition and determination of our pupils and the outstanding teaching and support they receive.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"560\" data-end=\"1088\">The school takes immense pride in the achievements of all its Year 11 pupils, many of whom have delivered remarkable individual performances. Notable highlights include Daniel, Kaleb, Aston, Theo and Sam, who each achieved eight or more grades at 9\u20138 (formerly A*), while 16 boys achieved straight 9\u20137 grades. In addition, 30 pupils were awarded at least one of the top grade 9s. Importantly, across the full range of ability at QEGS, pupils achieved results that were better than their benchmark expectations.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"3454\" data-end=\"3482\">Head Dr Brookes commented:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<blockquote data-start=\"3484\" data-end=\"3776\">\r\n<p data-start=\"3486\" data-end=\"3776\">\u201cI am incredibly proud of our Year 11 pupils for their remarkable accomplishments during their time at QEGS. They have made invaluable contributions to school life \u2013 both academically and across a diverse range of co-curricular activities \u2013 and they are growing into excellent young men.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p data-start=\"3778\" data-end=\"3793\">He continued:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<blockquote data-start=\"3795\" data-end=\"4054\">\r\n<p data-start=\"3797\" data-end=\"4054\">\u201cThey have been admirably supported by our wonderful staff \u2013 their inspirational teaching and expert pastoral care have been instrumental in our pupils\u2019 success. Pupils and teachers alike deserve hearty congratulations for their hard work and dedication.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1132\">Our accomplished Year 11 pupils include:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul data-start=\"1133\" data-end=\"3452\">\r\n \t<li data-start=\"1133\" data-end=\"1383\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1383\">Kaleb \u2013 an exceptional performance with 10 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s, including Ancient Greek, which he studied independently at lunchtimes. He now looks forward to studying four A Levels at QEGS, including Latin and Classical Civilisation.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li data-start=\"1384\" data-end=\"1472\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1386\" data-end=\"1472\">Daniel \u2013 delighted with his results, achieving an extraordinary 11 grade 9s.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li data-start=\"1473\" data-end=\"1646\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1475\" data-end=\"1646\">Hurr \u2013 celebrating 10 grades in the 8\u20139 range; he will continue his studies here, taking four A Levels in the sciences, Maths, and Religion, Philosophy &amp; Ethics.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li data-start=\"1647\" data-end=\"1758\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1649\" data-end=\"1758\">Edison \u2013 fantastic results with 10 grades at 7\u20139 plus an A in his Higher Project Qualification.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li data-start=\"1759\" data-end=\"1904\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1761\" data-end=\"1904\">Sam \u2013 achieved a brilliant 11 GCSEs including 8 grade 9s; he will take Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics in the Sixth Form.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li data-start=\"1905\" data-end=\"2030\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1907\" data-end=\"2030\">Dexter \u2013 gained 11 GCSEs including 4 grade 9s; he will be studying History, Maths, Music and Chemistry next year.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li data-start=\"2031\" data-end=\"2147\">\r\n<p data-start=\"2033\" data-end=\"2147\">Oliver \u2013 celebrating 10 grades at 7\u20139; he plans to study Geography, Maths and Physics in the Sixth Form.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li data-start=\"2148\" data-end=\"2200\">\r\n<p data-start=\"2150\" data-end=\"2200\">Lu\u2019ay \u2013 achieved 11 GCSEs at grades 7\u20139.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li data-start=\"2201\" data-end=\"2353\">\r\n<p data-start=\"2203\" data-end=\"2353\">Aston \u2013 achieved 8 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s;
