Among the participants, 28 QEGS students represented the school, fielding four teams in the Under-11 category and three teams in the Under-9 category.\r\n\r\nOur players showcased remarkable resilience and tactical skill throughout the competition, demonstrating a strong commitment to every game. Congratulations to Yarm School, winners of the Under-11 competition, and to RGS Newcastle, who claimed the top spot in the Under-9s.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our players are already gearing up for the UK Chess Challenge, which kicks off in the spring term.
