Families and students joined us for a relaxed drinks reception before heading to the QE Hall for the main event.\r\n\r\nThis year\u2019s ceremony celebrated the successes of the Classes of 2023\/2024, with speeches from governor Alistair McKinlay and special guest speaker Chris Cutt (OS, 1992). We were also delighted to have members of the Executive Group and Governing Board in attendance.\r\n\r\nA heartfelt thanks to Chris Cutt for sharing his reflections on his time at QEGS and his professional journey. After completing his A-levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry in 1992, Chris studied Natural Sciences at St Catharine\u2019s College, Cambridge, earning a MA in Chemistry. His 25-year career in Global Markets trading took him from London to Hong Kong with firms such as Mizuho, RBS, and Nomura. Recently, he transitioned into the fine wine industry and now supports startups in securing funding, making his speech both diverse and inspiring.\r\n\r\nHead, Dr. Richard Brookes, along with Deputy Head, Jim Palin, offered their congratulations to all the prize winners. Dr. Brookes also took a moment to emphasize the crucial role our teachers play in fostering student success through excellent instruction and meaningful relationships, along with the continued encouragement from parents.\r\n\r\nQEGS continues to shine in all aspects, and the Prize Giving ceremony remains a fitting tribute to the hard work and dedication of our students.
