The impressive results are a fitting culmination to the 2022 leavers\u2019 time at QEGS.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Head Boy Edward will be heading off to Cambridge University to study History, having gained 3 A* grades in English Language, Politics and History; he also attained A* in his EPQ.<\/span>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/2022\/08\/JCPR220818_093.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Having spent the past two years balancing his studies with volunteering on the wards at Pinderfield Hospital during the height of the pandemic, Andrew secured 3 A*s in his A Levels, and an A* in his EPQ and he leaves QEGS to study medicine at Leeds University.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/2022\/08\/JCPR220818_067.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Yorkshire Academy Cricketer and Deputy Head Boy George will be heading to Loughborough University to study Financial Mathematics, having gained A*A* A in Maths, French and Chemistry.<\/span>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/2022\/08\/JCPR220818_071.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Youngest of three brothers to have attended the school, Max started in the Pre-Prep Department aged 3 and now departs with 3 A* grades in Economics, Geography and Spanish, and a place to study Law at the University of Manchester.<\/span>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/wgsf.org.uk\/qegs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/08\/JCPR220818_068_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Savile Scholar and County hockey player William is delighted with his A*s in Geography and Politics, and an A in Economics with an A in his EPQ means he will start at Loughborough University in the Autumn studying Finance and Management.<\/span>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/2022\/08\/JCPR220818_076.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One of four brothers to attend QEGS, Matthew gained 3 A* grades in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and will seek to apply for a university place after his Gap Year.<\/span>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/2022\/08\/JCPR220818_090.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Head of Savile House and First XV Rugby Captain Toby will study Engineering at Durham University, having gained A* grades in Maths, Physics and DT.<\/span>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/2022\/08\/JCPR220818_064.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Keen Biologist Dami followed his earlier success of a coveted Gold in the British Biology Olympiad by gaining a place to study Medicine and Surgery at Newcastle University with his A*A*A in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.<\/span>\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n<div class=\"align-none\">\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/assets.wgsf.org.uk\/2022\/08\/JCPR220818_063.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Overall, 29% of boys achieved the top A* and A grades in three or more subjects. The vast majority of boys will go on to study at their first-choice university, attaining places on the most prestigious courses, including Medicine, Law, Architecture, English Literature, Mathematics, Geography, Engineering, History, Politics, Economics, Astrophysics, Rural Enterprise &amp; Land Management, and Business Management. We also have boys beginning apprenticeships in the Financial and Nuclear Energy sectors, following rigorous and highly competitive selection processes.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr Richard Brookes, Head, said: \u201cWell done to all our boys on an excellent set of A-level results. These boys have been through a challenging period of uncertainty over the last three years, and have shown tremendous dedication and resilience in the face of that challenge. I am proud of the care they have shown towards each other, the contribution they have made to all areas of school life, and their academic aspiration which is being rewarded today. I congratulate them, and I look forward to staying in touch with them as they join our alumni community.
