Sunday September 9th will see 16 boys and 4 staff once again running the 21km route from Newcastle to South Shield and taking in such iconic sights as the Tyne bridge and Gateshead stadium whilst soaking up the support of the many thousands of cheering wellwishers along the route. At the request of Matthew Stuckey, 13EJP who will be taking part for the 2nd year in a row we are this year aiming to raising £8000 for the Cystic Fibrosis trust. The CFT is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to the support of sufferers and research into treatment for this potentially life altering inherited condition that affects over 10,000 people in the UK and the gene for which is carried by one in every 25 of the UK population. The runners are busy raising funds from their friends and families as well as through events at school, if you would like to help them reach their target then you can donate via the teams just giving page here.
The runners are:
Andrew Pesterfield, Vicky Gardiner, Hannah Chatterton, Sean Clark & Damian Dryland
