Mrs Gray's Boy Tip of the Week

Boys need to take risks and be allowed to have ‘rough and tumble’ play, otherwise life is not fun for them and they will not develop socially. Play usually involves aggression, weapons, fighting and some form of superhero play. Boys have little impulse control, they often barge, push and shove, and mums often feel embarrassed that their son is so aggressive in his play, they think this reflects on them as being bad parents but in the early years this is what boys do – a world of impulsivity, it is natural, so try not to worry!
