Masterchef Finals!

Yesterday there was a hive of activity in Mrs Spawforth's DT kitchen, as the QEGS JS Masterchef 2017 finalists got to work on their dishes that would hopefully win them the competition!

After weeks of heats, it all came down to yesterday lunchtime. The theme this year was 'traditional dishes'. Mrs Gray and Mr Craig, from the senior school, were lucky enough to judge thie competition.

The finalists consisted of, Joshua Hen-Boisen, Timmy Spawforth, Ethan Chan and Edward Moran.

Mrs Gray and Mr Craig were very impressed by the high standard of all the boys' food, but it was Edward Moran who won the coveted 'Masterchef Winner' title. Edward cooked deep-fried beer-battered fish, homemade tartar sauce with an added hint of lemon zest and oven-roasted chips.

Congratulations Edward, and well done to all the boys that took part in the competition, who are all chefs in the making!
