The children began their week by going for a walk around St. John's churchyard and collecting leaves, sticks and conkers for their artwork. There were even some squirrels that joined us (briefly!) on the walk! The children looked for the biggest, most colourful leaves they could find, before going back to the Nursery playground.
Once they were back, it was time to get crafting! The children did some leaf printing, bark rubbing and conker marking! There were lots of other uses for the conkers, including racing them down the water station. Cawthorne Croner also needed a good sweep up and the leaves were also used to make some beautiful hedgehog pictures!
Tomorrow, the children will be doing more hedgehog crafting, before their Apple Challenge on Wednesday!
