Home-School Partnership

We believe that the education of the boys is a partnership between boys, parents and the school. Staff are always willing to meet with parents and to discuss any issue which may arise.

Parents receive a written report on each boy termly – a combination of short and full reports, depending on year group. There is also an annual Parents’ Evening for each year group.

In addition, there is a meeting for Year 11 pupils and their parents to explore options at 16+ and meetings for Sixth Formers and their parents about higher education.

Parents are encouraged to attend matches, concerts and plays, and their support on such occasions is usually significant and greatly valued.

QEGS has a thriving Parents’ Association and Sports’ Association, which organise social occasions and fund-raising events. The Friends of QEGS keep parental friendships alive long after their son’s have left the School.
