Charity Days

During the Autumn and Spring Terms, the school holds a Charity Day, which are wonderful, fun-filled occasions, enjoyed by everyone!

These usually involve an element of 'dressing up' with the boys raising money through various initiatives and the staff doing something 'silly'.

The School Council nominates a charity that they would like to support and the boys are mindful that at QEGS Junior School we are very fortunate.

Themes for Charity Days over recent years include 'Charity Shop Fashion', 'Pink'  'A Walk on the Wild Side' , Where's Wally', 'I'm a Teacher, Get Me Out of Here', 'Superheros' and 'The Last 100 Years'. The following charities are an example of a range of charities which have benefited from the generosity of pupils, parents and friends who have supported the most recent Junior School Charity Days:

  • Diabetes Research
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Help for Heroes
  • The Variety Club of Great Britain
  • Japanese Tsunami Appeal
  • The Children's Hospital Charity
